Richard Desouche, the current vineyard manager of Clos Rougeard, found his vocation as a winemaker by creating his "P'tit Domaine". He runs his Le P'tit Domaine with passion, and his production reflects his respect for the intrinsic values of the terroir and the grape variety. From the beginning (2007), Richard decided to follow the rules of organic agriculture and stop the use of herbicide. In order to follow all the specificity of AB Ecocert, he stopped using synthetic products in 2009. All his wines have been certified AB since 2013.

Les Bonneveaux (lieu-dit) Saumur Champigny (Aged in barrel)

100% Cabernet Franc. A perfect balance between deep richness and unmistakable elegance. Richard's knowledge of the famed wines of Clos Rougeard is on full display, with a wine brimming with layers of morello cherry, wild blackberry, smoked earth, and savory, sanguine, gourmand elements of mushrooms and truffles. Structurally, the wine shows a full, soft texture with a corset of lacy tannins and brisk acidity, suggesting a long aging potential.
