Description

This is a terroir in the north of the appellation, well exposed on leaving the Combe Lavaux, planted on a soil of fossiliferous rocks and clay. One of Gevrey's most famous premier cru, at the origin of a beautifully elegant 2014. The nose expresses itself on fresh aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant, embellished with notes of undergrowth and smoke; the palate unfolds a velvety texture supported by fine tannins, a melted oak and a pleasant liveliness.

This renowned family estate (notably for its grands crus and its Gevreys), led since 1990 by Marie-Françoise Guillard and Patricia Chevillon, passed into the hands of Erwan Faiveley in 2013. The two sisters, however, remain co-managers of this vast vineyard of more than 20 ha divided into 200 plots, mainly in the Côte de Nuits, and also in the Côte de Beaune. Alongside the cellar master Didier Chevillon, husband of Patricia, the Faiveley oenologist.
