Description

Domaine Dupont-Tisserandot has been run by the same family for four generations. It was bought by the Domaine Faiveley in 2013 but the teams remained in place, particularly Marie Françoise Guillard and Patricia Chevillon, who run the domaine. The 20 hectare vineyard has vines ranging from relatively old to old and it includes 20 different appellations. It extends from the north of the Côte de Nuits in Marsannay to the Côte de Beaune in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

Garnet-tinged colors here tend towards an almost opaqueness; while not quite black/purple, seriously deep. Aromatically, this is a seriously spice and black fruit driven version of Suchots that also offers layers of truffle, clove and sturdy wood smoke nuances. The palate is equally masculine, with the black fruits and structure battling for center stage. This is a big time wine in need of some down time.
