Chateau de Citeaux produced the wine from 1098 until 1995, when the property was bought by Philippe Bouzereau. Though not as well-known as its distinguished neighbors Charmes and Perrieres, which are generally fatter and richer, Les Grand Charrons produces Chardonnay of depth and finesse in its style. Meursault is known for elegant aromas of pear and citrus, stony and detailed middle weight flavors and lifted acidity. They possess a seductive texture and fine depth as well as excellent persistence.
