Description

From a 20 hectare plot of 35+ year old vines grown in calcareous and sandy soils comes this fresh and lively Moscato d’Asti. Grown at approximately 300 meters in altitude, the diurnal swing here allows for a depth of fruit balanced by clean and refreshing acidity. First released in 1977, La Spinetta’s ‘Bricco Quaglia’ Moscato d’Asti was the first ever single vineyard bottling of Moscato in Italy and the focus on expressing the unique terroir of this plot has remained ever since. This vineyard is sustainably farmed without the use of herbicides or pesticides.
Ratings & Reviews

AG92
"Bright pale yellow. Intense, pure aromas of grapefruit skin, crystallized ginger, aromatic herbs and honey. Juicy, precise and penetrating, with luscious yet taut flavors of lemon thyme, vanilla, ripe citrus and pear accented by honey and maple syrup. Closes luscious, long and very dense. Made with grapes grown in 33- to 38-year-old Moscato Bianco vineyards."

This wine surprises with its remarkable freshness and brilliant fruit flavors, bright acidity and a zingy finish drink young.
