Bel Echo, (French for Beautiful Echo) is a terroir selection of our estate’s less conventional soil type. We consider Bel Echo somewhat adventurous in style, representing the opposite or ‘echo’ of our more traditional Clos Henri wines. The 2017 Bel Echo Sauvignon preserves its chalky minerality so typical expression of our clay soil. This appealing minerality is well surrounded by juicy notes of litchi and white peach. It is aged on fine yeast lees for eight months with lees stirring. The mouth is rich offering again this generous expression of ripe tropical and stone fruit with a hint of white chocolate which carries the palate on a long and intense finish.
