Description

This is a unicorn wine.  With yields down and demand up, this is one of the most sought after Lidia Chardonnays in decades.  In a class by itself, this particular release of La Spinetta's Lidia Chardonnay is outstanding! It is refined, textured and well structured. White blossom, young d'Anjou pear, lemon oil, white peach, white pepper, a stony backbone, and a zingy, mouthwatering finish. The beauty of this white is its creamy texture and opposing frame of penetrating minerality and complexity.  Lidia has the texture and weight of a Meursault, the spine of a Chablis and a hint of New World nut and spice. It is layered and complex and should really have "Montrachet" written on its label.
