Description

Schloss Vollrads is one of Europe's oldest wineries. A document in theMainz City Archives shows that on 18th November 1211 wines were already sold. In 2011 they celebrated the 800 years ofviticulture of Schloss Vollrads. 


This GG (Grosses Gewächs) Riesling is a premium dry wine that comes from a Grosses Lage (great site), the best vineyards according to the German VDP classification system that is overseen by a group of producers called the VDP. Like the grand crus of Burgundy, these wines take the name of the vineyard and not the village.
