Description

Kanta – Egon Müller's Australian outpost.  It is where German tradition and precision meets the premium, cool climate fruit from the Adelaide Hills. Kanta is the Sanskrit word meaning desired, beloved and beautiful. With this wine Egon Muller brings his own distinctive approach to the Adelaide Hills and appears set to break the mould of Australian Rieslings. Not being a fan of the heavy, rich and full-bodied Clare Valley wines that epitomise Australia's approach to Germany's favourite variety, he has set up shop in a cooler region and produced this lean and elegant take on Aussie Riesling. The result is a refined, floral, bone-dry Riesling with none of the heavy, developed, petrolly notes that wreath so many Australian Rieslings.
