Description

Pouilly Fume "Tradition Cullus" - is a terrific wine, the very name of which is a tribute to the ancestors. This wine from the berries from the oldest vines, whose age ranges from 40 to 70 years, is looked after by another great-grandfather of the current owner. Characteristics of the soil of the vineyard area of ​​50 hectares, has a southern and south-eastern exposure with soils that are a combination of clay and white limestone (Kimmeridgian marl), gives the wine special, typical only for this terroir taste. The wine is created from the first extraction of juice from the wort settling at a low temperature. Fermentation and aging on the lees can achieve bulk and flavor make it an ideal structure. Bottling wine comes from mixing batches of the finished wine, aged in different containers. Wine storage capacity - 10 years.

This producer, who is considered one of the best in the region, is highly valued by wine critics - for the past 25 years Domain Masson-Blondel won 57 medals and awards at various prestigious wine competitions. Many well-known restaurants include Domain products to their wine lists.

Tasting note: Aged in large barrels, this wine is now mature while still having a vibrant, fruity character. The acidity has been tamed, filling the glass with perfumed white fruits that are touched by spice. Drink this wine now. Suitable for vegans. This extraordinary rich, full and harmonious cuvée is the perfect match with an elaborate, rich or spicy cuisine or even with sweet and salty combinations. Foie gras with russet apples, duck breast with caramelized pears and honey sauce, orange prawn, scallop with foie gras sauce will be perfect matches with this cuvee.
