Description

A precise selection in the vineyard ensured only the best and most perfectly ripe fruit was selected for this wine. Each plot was vinified separately with much care taken to ensure the extraction process wasn't overdone and making sure to maintain the fresh fruit flavours in the final wine. Each batch was aged in oak barrels (80% new and 20% one year old).

This is nicely rendered, with dark plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit laced with mulled spice, roasted cedar and black tea notes. Everything melds pleasantly through the plush yet refined finish. Approachable now, but no rush.
